MS-DOS Disk MAAC
Presented by Colin Justason
This is the third of the TPUG PC disks, MAAC. M = MS-DOS AAC = DISK ID.
This disk has only two programs on it, the first is another Wordprocessor for
those of you who cannot seem to get enough of these, and the second is a
spreadsheet program that can create, load and run Lotus 1A files. I have
included the documentation for both programs, which seems quite extensive so
try to review the DOCS before starting the programs. The wordprocessor has
the ability to store files in a special condensed mode called "arc" which I
will have on a disk in the near future, however it is not required in normal
operation. It also features split window editing, including the ability to
move information between screens plus two calculator modes, global
substitution, etc. Lots of useful features however I have not tried them all
and only can say that it seems to run and that it created ASCII files as well
as condensed files. The spreadsheet again seems to work, since I use both
Lotus and Smart (which also reads Lotus files) I had lots of files to move
back and forth between programs to try them out and yes it does seem to work
well.
MAAC is again, a shareware/freeware disk and you should let your conscience
guide you but I suggest that if you are going to use these programs, that you
should pay the programmer something for his effort, if you find the program
useful. Most of the programmers make contribution suggestions which do not
seem out of line, in fact most are a steal for the quality of their work. I
have separated the programs with dummy files starting with a - and an ext of -
--. These files are blank and can be deleted once you are familiar with the
different files and what is required for each program.
Anyway thats it for disk MAAC, happy computing, CJ
